Jacksonville, FL – March 2, 2010 – IRISHWATERDOGS.COM
has announced plans for their first kayak fishing tournament to be held in
Jacksonville, FL on Oct 22-23, 2010.
The IRISHWATERDOGS INVITATIONAL will be a unique tournament which is
intended to raise funds for Wolfson Children’s Hospital of Jacksonville, FL.

The tournament will offer three different Divisions for individuals to compete in.
The divisions are the Championship, General, and Team Divisions:

The Championship Division will be restricted to individuals who have placed
in other kayak fishing tournaments in the southeastern USA.
Participants are by invitation only and compete against the best kayak
fishermen from these tournaments.

Team Division will be comprised of various manufacturer teams, kayak fishing
website teams and other pre organized teams. This will provide a prestigious event
to compete against one another for bragging rights.

General Division will be open to all other kayak fishermen. This will allow everyone to compete against some of the best kayak fishermen in the southeast but still have their own separate division for prizes and awards.

All functions including the captain’s meeting and awards function will be held at Lynch’s Irish Pub
located at 514 1st Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250

Participants may register for this tournament at http://www.Irishwaterdogsinvitational.com Entry fee for the Championship Division is $25 and $50 for the General Division. Registration for the Team Division will be $100, plus requirement that the individual team members be registered in either the Championship or General Division. Complete information, rules, and prize details are available online.

Prizes will be awarded in each of the Championship and General Divisions. Champion will be slam only. General and team devisions will have first through third place for the Redfish-Trout-Flounder, biggest redfish, biggest trout, and biggest flounder.
The Team Division will have a first place Team Championship trophy.

Many national and regional sponsors include IRISHWATERDOGS, Red Bull, Dignity you Wear, Emotion Kayaks, Georgiakayakfishing.com, Hobie, Kayak Angler Magazine, Kayakbassfishing.com, Lynch’s Irish Pub, ManMadeMurals.com, MTI, Wilderness systems, Polar Bear Coolers, Slayer Lure Co. Additionally, there will be a vendor area, open to the general public held at Lynch’s Irish Pub 12:00 PM – 6:00 PM on both tournament days. Numerous companies and vendors will be displaying the latest in outdoor and sporting gear. There will be a silent auction and tickets will be on sale for raffle prizes. Live music, food and beverages will be available for all to enjoy and the public is invited to attend this event in order to see the very latest in gear and kayaks, learn about new sports and and raise money for a great cause.

Hey all.....I'm bringing this back to the top since it's actually not too far away. This is going to be a top notch tourney with great prizes and raffles. Remember, it benefits Wolfson Children's Hospital! Come to Jacksonville in October and you'll understand why it's one of the best places to kayak fish. I would love to see a PF team or other teams from this site get involved. The more teams, the bigger the bragging rights. Who wants that Team trophy or possibly win the peacock bass fishing trip?
