I am considering getting rid of my toon and getting a KAYAK. I think I will be able to use it more often in more places.

I need some advice on a KAYAK. I cannot afford the top of the line and will not be able to rig it up like you guys have done. Any suggestions? I am looking for something I can use in Georgia rivers and can take to Hilton Head type areas, like Cockroach bay.
Dont think I will be using it is any deep water scenarios.
I hope I am not being too vague.
Thanks,
Keith

That is a great idea, but I live in Atlanta.

Any other advice?

Leave Friday night?

Find some shops in your area that may be having a demo day, most do, that way you can try several different models at one time.

OK here are a few more questions to help me get into this sport, and access more water.
How long of a kayak should I be looking for?
Are there any features that are a must have on a kayak, not additions but standard?
What are the first accessories I should look for, to make this adventure more bearable?

Thanks
